ABOUT ROGUE WAVE PROCESSING
Rogue Wave Processing is excited to assume operations of our assets formerly owned by Snug Harbor Seafoods and recently operated by Copper River Seafoods. These facilities include the K beach plant and docks in Kenai and Kasilof. With our resources and commitments, we also intend to offload in Ninilchik and Homer and support the purchasing of set-net permit holders salmon harvest in 2024.
While Rogue Wave is a new entity in Cook Inlet, the owners have a long history buying from many of the producers that Cook Inlet permit holders have delivered to over the past 25 years. We are well financed with family ownership and have been in the seafood business since 1914. We are here for the long term. We look forward to working with the community and the fishers to build trust, solid relationships and to provide value to all.
Rogue Wave Processing, located on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, prides itself on producing only the highest quality salmon.
We are proud to be supported by a group of fishermen committed to delivering fresh, quality salmon. Our finished product is superb because of the high quality of product delivered to our plant.
HOW WE SOURCE
We partner with Alaskan fishing families who, like the generations of families before us, care deeply about the food we consume. Simply, we care about where our fish is harvested and how it’s handled, from the ocean to our plate.
We believe in a fishery that is responsibly sourced and sustainably managed, and we believe Alaska has the best managed fishery in the world. Alaska is the only state in the nation whose constitution explicitly mandates that all fish, including salmon, shall be utilized, developed and maintained on the sustained yield principle.
QUALITY
Over the past decades, we have learned a lot about fish. We have invested in docks, fleet of vessels, processing equipment and technology, and new products. To us, quality is an ever-evolving part of our culture. We strive to produce a consistent and high-quality product, and to this end, we take a total quality approach to everything we do.
We have strict handling, chilling and temperature requirements, and our total quality approach is maintained from the boat, across our docks and throughout our processing facility. When we produce a high quality and consistent quality product, we prosper, and our fishers do to. This is why we partner only with Alaskan fishers who share our philosophy and commitment to quality.
